In Mayan mythology, Ixchel was the goddess of love, pregnancy, water, textiles, the moon and medicine. She is the wife of the solar god and in the codices she identifies with the goddess. Figure of Ixtchel elaborated from codices. This figure does not originally exist as a piece of pre-Hispanic cultures. The craftsman makes it based on the drawings found, giving his own touch and imagination to each piece. For this reason each piece is unique because they are entirely handmade.
