Olmec Culture

The Olmec culture or Mesoamerican mother culture was an ancient pre-Columbian civilization that lived in the lowlands of south-central Mexico, during the Mesoamerican Middle Preclassic period, approximately in the Mexican state of Veracruz and Tabasco on the Isthmus of Tehuantepec. The Olmec culture had a very wide influence since its works of art of this civilization are also found in El Salvador. The Olmec developed between 1200 BC until about 400 BC. C. And by many historians is considered the mother of Mesoamerican cultures or civilizations
