Its correct name is "The Stone of the Sun" but it is known throughout the world as the Aztec Calendar. It is an engraving made on a single stone and was carved during the era of splendor of the Mexica Culture. This monolith synthesizes the astronomical knowledge that the Mexicas had developed before the Spanish conquest.
